About

I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, IL and was interested in art and science from a young age. After a serendipitous lecture given during a high school science class, I was introduced to the world of medical illustration. I pursued this field to Iowa State University, graduating cum laude in 2015 with a degree in Biological and Pre-Medical Illustration (now SciViz) and minors in Biology and Mathematics.

After graduating from ISU, I accepted a position as the head of the Content & Curriculum Team at BodyViz, a medical visualization software company. For several years, I developed interactive anatomy education modules based off of an extensive library of CT and MRI scans. I had the opportunity to work with dozens of domestic and international medical education partners creating custom educational content.

I attended Johns Hopkins University in the Master of Arts in Biological and Medical Illustration program. As a graduate student in the School of Medicine, I pursued my passion of working with real patient data in the 3D world to tell compelling stories. I earned several scholarships, including the Ranice W. Crosby Scholarship and Vesalian Scholarship.

I currently work as the Animation and Rigging Generalist at OssoVR. Previously, I also worked as an interaction designer at Osso, and I created multiple VR training simulations, including orthopedic, cardiac, and nursing procedures.

I have been a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators since 2019, and became a board-certified Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) in 2024.
